The 2016 International Baccalaureate Is Getting Media Attention
The IB is offered in 15 secondary schools across Victoria. In this formula, students receive a score out of 45 on results day, and a perfect score is 45 (converting to the highest attainable ATAR of 99.95) in total and 7 in French. Almaje is proud to have helped 5 students achieve that magic perfect 45 total score, and many more to achieve 7 and other great scores in French at the 2016 International Baccalaureate.
One of our students, Natalie Liu, school Captain at PLC, who scored 7 in French, and received a total score of 45, was mentioned in The Age and on SBS

The philosophy of the International Baccalaureate is summed well by Peter Francis, program co-ordinator at PLC in the SBS video
“The IB is not just about learning content, it’s about creating life-long global citizens who think for themselves, they’re self-regulated learners, they’re reflective, they ask questions, they think, they inquire,” he said. “It’s about developing the whole person and developing global competency skills.”
Here at Almaje we love that concept. That is so close to our own philosophy! For our IB students, we do far more than tutoring, we also coach them to become autonomous learners, thinking for themselves and proactive in driving their own learning. Of course not all our students can get perfect scores; but they all learn to study intelligently and they achieve superior results far beyond their initial competence in French. Congratulations to everyone who worked hard for the 2016 International Baccalaureate and did well in French with our support.
