When DELF Junior – High School Is Right For You

DELF Junior preparation is a smart choice when

  • You love French and you are getting good results at school.
  • You are considering studying or working in a French speaking country in the future. So you will need an official recognition of your proficiency in communicating with native French speakers.
  • You may have a partly French-speaking background and you want to keep your life options open for the future.

Good results at the IB and the VCE will not be enough to let you chase your dreams. Even the International Baccalaureate does not give you automatic access to a French university! Only DELF B2 (or the higher competency DALF) will give you entry! And your DELF qualifications are recognised around the world throughout your whole life. You can manage your studies, career and life freely.

So preparing for the DELF exams is a good choice for many high school students like you. It cannot be done at school; your teacher is too busy with VCE or IB to focus on the unique DELF requirements. However you can prepare your DELF efficiently with specialists like Almaje. And we can still do it in agreement with the Australian school you attend.

DELF Preparation Is Special And Motivating

DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) is an official qualification awarded by the French Ministry of Education. So, as a high school student you can’t do better than passing a DELF to prove your level of competency!

You also have to prepare specifically for your DELF because that diploma has a structure and assessment format different from any Australian qualification.

DELF includes 4 independent diplomas, DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1, DELF B2. They all measure the four critical language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking, in different real life situations requiring increasing levels of competency. As you progress towards handling well all the expected and unexpected situations we can encounter in our personal, student and professional life, you get motivated to go to the next level.

DELF Junior/High School has exactly the same standards and recognition as DELF for adults. It is exactly the same diploma; In fact the only difference is that it uses materials and situations relevant to teenagers. Because of this customised base, students find the study far more motivating. Indeed recognition, motivation, and encouragement to progress to total fluency in French form one of the fundamental principles of DELF.

ALMAJE Accelerates Your Progress To DELF B2

DELF A2 and B1 can be a good stepping stone for Year 7 to 10 students, particularly when they have a previous experience of French in their early childhood or primary school years. It gives them the experience of a French exam and the recognition of their increasing skills can be very motivating!
When students have already obtained a DELF Prim diploma while at primary school, they have direct access to DELF B1.
DELF B1 and B2 are often ideal for Year 11 and Year 12 students.
It all depends on your skills, your practice availability, your confidence and your life dreams.

At Almaje we work out with you what may be the right level for you to attempt and how top get there. Then we provide a comprehensive training plan for your chosen DELF level. As you go through our structured practice sessions, we monitor your progress and adjust your plan.

We design our DELF Junior Preparation sessions to guide you towards success at every step, ultimately at the DELF B2 exams. So you get many tips, exposure to a wide range of communication situations, comprehensive explanations to eliminate your stumbling blocks, homework guidance and reviews.

Note: When you are ready we can also support your preparation for DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) levels C1 or C2.
